Welcome
Who we are
Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous. Of the good that they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right. --al Imran 3:113-115
Alcohol and the Followers of Allah
What the Bible really teaches about consuming intoxicating beverages.
Within the realm of Christianity there is a wide range of differing practices, particularly on issues pertaining to lifestyle. The way in which Christians relate to alcohol is certainly one of those issues. While some groups shun the practice because of its negative effects, others promote its purported virtues. In the light of these differing perspectives, we must ask: What does the Bible say? Can a follower of Allah consume alcoholic beverages based on the teachings of the Bible? What were the teachings of the prophets on this issue?
